Silver is a bright and shinny whitish metal. It is popular precious metal used for
making fashion jewellery, accessories, utensils and other items. Pure silver is a
very soft, therefore mixed with alloys to meet the jewellery requirements. Silver
is lighter than gold and platinum and not hypoallergenic; many people are allergic
to silver. Silver is prone to oxidization and discoloring, needs regular cleaning
and polishing.

It is obtained by mixing copper in it. Sterling silver has 92.5% silver and 7.5%
copper. It is stronger than pure silver.

Avoid contact with harsh chemicals, perfumes, bleach, dyes and
water.
